Hi All

I have been seeking info about your 4E game.   I was not able to attend the first session, but am still interested.   Is there any info available?

Welcome!

The person to contact about the new 4E game would be Michael: http://worldsapartgames.com/discuss/index.php?action=profile;u=1

Thanks for the information.  I have sent a few private messages to him.  Either I did something wrong in the sending process, the game is full, or he hates the Big Lebowski with an abiding passion.

But that's cool.  Have a good game!

No one hates the Big Lebowski.  I think it's more likely that the forums are slow.  Not even sure we've got a 4th Ed game running regularly, mostly GURPS or White Wolf products.

Well, here we go again.  I see the new D&D game is possibly willing to add players.  I'll send another message to Michael.  Beyond that, can anyone tell me if it is acceptable to just show up and watch the game?  Or show and play without having met anyone? Also, anyone who wants to tell me about the game would be cool.  Also curious about party composition.  What character roles are covered would affect what I play.

It is always fine to show up at the store and watch the game.

I would recommend contacting him on the email address he has listed in his profile, not just messages on here.

Michael has taken a couple of Mondays off from running game because he's going through training for his new job, so if you want to show up to watch it, you'll have to wait until 4/12 (Monday after next).

As far as I know, watching is fine, so long as you don't personally contribute a disruptive amount of running commentary. (Saving rules questions for after the session ends is probably also a good idea).

When I last saw the game, it had a Deva Avenger (melee-range glass cannon), a Goliath Druid (who spends a lot of time in beast form), a Human Cleric (who has taken the pacifist route) and a Half-Elf Bard (who, y'know, bards).

So that's two leaders, a striker, and a controller. Seems like a defender would be a good contribution.

You'll need to at least talk to Michael about the setting before trying to roll up a character, because he wants a backstory from each player. If you haven't already, I recommend e-mailing him, as that's a pretty good way to get in touch with him. Not sure if he checks his forum messages, unfortunately.

... So that's my $0.07.

I have spoken to Michael and do intend to come by on 4/12.  I promise I won't disrupt the game.  I will don the blue helmet of a neutral peacekeeper.

The regular game I have been playing in lacks a defender also.  I would certainly play a paladin or swordmage.

I have been in touch with Micheal but I think he understandably wants to meet me before deciding to add me.

Thank for the info Lee, especially about the classes being played.

No problem.

I didn't mean to imply that we were expecting you to be disruptive. The store is just sometimes a very loud and excited place, so it's sometimes hard to not distract the (already easily-distractable) gamers.

Didn't take it that way at all.  Its more me.  If you are all cool about me showing up, once the game starts the only thing that should be heard from me is 1) laughter 2) sharp intake of breath when I want to yell perception check.  Which of course I will suppress.  The roll.  Not my breathing.  That would be a very bad choice.
